Memory has always aroused the interest of man since antiquity, but the first scientific studies were carried out a little over a century ago. Currently, although there are still several gaps about the physiological phenomena involved in the process of memory formation, many works carried out with memory reconsolidation associated with the process of extinction of traumatic memories have been increasingly highlighted in the scientific world. With the advancement of technology and behavioral biological science, several alternative therapies can possibly be used for the treatment of disorders involving these memories.
