Respiration Belt MR

Wednesday, 20 de November de 2019

The Respiration Belt MR is intended to be used for qualitative measurements of the respiratory movements.

The Respiration Belt MR consists of two main units: the pneumatic sensor and the transducer.

Pneumatic sensor

From an electrical point of view, the pneumatic sensor is a passive component. It is entirely made of textile fibers and plastics. The sensor is clamped between the pouch and body by the elastic belt, and in this way it translates the movement of the chest or abdomen into pressure changes. These changes are forwarded to the transducer via a tube.

Transducer

The transducer converts the pressure differences into electrical signals. The high signal quality is achieved by effective signal conditioning circuits and thus it does not require imaging artifact correction. The Respiration Belt MR is designed for long-term use and its modular structure means that individual components can be replaced quickly and easily.
