Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is defined as a complex neurodevelopmental disorder of early onset that compromises cognitive ability, as well as communication, social interaction and learning skills in children, youth and adults. Mainly characterized by behavioral changes of social distancing, communication problems, performing stereotyped movements, abstract thoughts, emotional processing and eye contact deficits. Thus, experts show that serious games can be an important application to help in the treatment of skills development in autistic children.
