Augmented Reality and Human Interaction: Experience at Brain Support

Tuesday, 13 de April de 2021
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that has been implemented in several economic sectors, such as: marketing, entertainment, education, medicine, military, architecture, scientific research, among others. This application allows the interaction of virtual elements with the real world, by overlaying models, avatars and 3D objects. The RA application has multidisciplinary knowledge.

Areas such as computer graphics, information technology, programming and graphic design, are fundamental to the development of these tools. Additionally, when applied to specific fields, such as neuroscience, there is a need for expertise in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and the basic principles of neuroscience.

This Kowledge Base together with the KB "Behind scenes: how to become a scientific 3D artist and apply this technology on scientific research" brings the first experiences in augmented reality applied to the scientific field at Brain Support. The tutorials show the importance of this technology for human engagement, as well as, the fundamental principles of 3D modeling for the medical field.
